Morningstar

Morningstar is a fantasy TTRPG inspired by old CRPGs such as Wizardry or Might & Magic, as well as Ken St. Andre's Tunnels & Trolls and the original role-playing game. 

The goal of this project is to make a game with an old-school feel that offers players a lot more options to create and develop their characters than other games of this genre. Morningstar is easy to learn and play, yet still offers depth for experienced players.

Features:

- A simple dice resolution mechanic, just roll 3d6+modifier against target difficulty.

- Freeform leveling system. Develop your character's stats in any way you want and learn new abilities through in-game trainers.

- 12 different playable kindreds, from dwarves and elves to lizardmen and talking opossums. There's something here for everyone!

- 4 different playable classes that can be further defined with a number of traits. Wanna make a minotaur warrior dual-wielding greatswords and commanding the living dead? How about a catfolk wizard who can fight unarmed and deflect arrows with their paws? The possibilities aren't endless but they are extensive!

- 6 schools of magic (fire, air, water, earth, mind and matter) with a total of 60 spells.

About This Version

The game is in a fully playable state but there is still a lot of playtesting that needs to be done and I also wanna add a referee guide section and a sample adventure at some point.
